Experience the thrill of pulling the perfect pint of Guinness at the Legendary Durty Nelly’s in our unique Pull Your Own Pint Bar. Bring home a true memento of your time in one of Ireland’s best-loved pubs.
No doubt you’ve seen it done all around the world, but the pulling of a Guinness pint is an exact and careful science, so much so that pubs in Ireland each have their very own Guinness reputation – Durty Nelly’s is famed across the West as having the best pints of the ‘black stuff’.
We offer the experience of pulling your own pint by two means;
1) Groups of ten or more can pre-book the experience for €TBC. They will meet and greet one of our experienced and friendly bar staff who will demonstrate how the pint should be pulled. Then it’s your turn! You and your group will each pull a pint (often leading to slagging, banter and some friendly competition) while your photos are taken. We will then print off and present your photos to you as a memento of the experience.
2) We also offer the chance for people to pull their own pint without booking. Simply request to do so at any of the bar counters and once we have the chance (sometimes it can be too busy) we will be more than happy to let you in behind the bar to pull your own pint and take your own pictures.
Adored since 1759, it’s the powerful surge and settle that gives Guinness Draught beer its unique and long-standing popularity. Lovingly poured around the world, Guinness Draught is Ireland’s best-selling beer. A unique mix of nitrogen and carbon dioxide helps create Guinness Draught’s liquid swirl that tumbles, surges and gradually separates into a black body and smooth creamy head. The rise and fall of our bubbles has perplexed PhD physicists.Guinness Draught is best served at 4-6°C (that’s 39.2-42.8°F) with the legendary two-part pour. But all you need to focus on is the taste. With an initial malt and caramel flavour, Guinness Draught finishes with a dry roasted bitterness…..Enjoy.
